    1903 replacement C stocks

I recently bought a project rifle, a Remington 1903, that someone started to build into a sporter. It has a nice action, but a chromed barrel with a beautiful bore, and no sights. My plan is to build up a cast bullet rifle for one of my kids to use in our Cast Bullet Assn. matches. I have a spare 48 Lyman to mount on it, and I would like to mount it in a C-stock and use a 03-A3 hand guard on top. Has anyone used a CMP new stock, or a Minnelli, and can recommend which one to get? Oh, if the chrome drill barrel shoots as good as it looks, I'll just have to paint it so it don't blind the other shooters!

I put a CMP C stock on my 03-A3. It needed a little fitting for the metal bands but was a drop in for the barrel and action. Got the stock and hand guard - got the rifle with a Herters stock on it. Finished it with rubbing on a tung oil finish.
