Cheap turkey fryer propane burner at Wally World

Stopped by local location to get something else, and saw a display of turkey fryers for under $40. The burner appears to be the same one as what I'm using. I paid a few bucks more online, so it may be a darn good deal for someone looking for a burner with more btu's.

Better pay close attention to how well the stand is made, a few BTU's either way won't make any difference when that cheap Chineese frame collapses under a heavy pot full of Pb.

I have a wally world fish fryer, square with straight legs and it has handled better than 100# Of course I gave the dear wife the cheap aluminum pot that came with it.

I have had that dutch oven totally full of lead

Closer view, the rusty cross pieces are just some angle iron I drop in to use the burner with small pots. The legs are cross tied together by braces that are welded to the burner pan and ring.

I also think it helps that the burner is on a very solid and stable surface. No twisting or uneven weight distribution to the legs.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
