If they will do lever gun loads, and they have fixed barrels, that might be doable. Anyone got a recommendation of who to go for for pedersoli?

    Thanks.

Cherry’s is a big Pedersoli importer. I found mine on Gun Broker.

Sabatti got off to a bad start as they tried or did regulate their doubles by grinding the muzzles of the barrels. That didn't fly with the double gun folks. I heard they later went to traditional regulating methods but it was too late. Some are good and some are not so good. Cabella's had an exclusive deal to sell them here in the US and quit handling them.

If I were buying one I'd insist on a three day inspection and shooting agreement before I'd jump on one.

Black Powder Express rifles are a wonderful expression of the gun makers art but you can't go to your local gun store and buy ammo for them. Many of them fired lots of nitro-for-black loads loaded with cordite and have badly eroded bores so accuracy can be poor. I rebarreled my 500-450 because it was nearly smooth inside. Paying someone else to rebarrel a double is very costly.

I own, shoot and hunt with doubles both smooth and rifled and have learned to look very carefully before I buy one.

Just my $0.02 for what it's worth.

Regulation on this one is apparently soldered shims, and should regulate at 70 yards.
