    BBs.

Well shucks! I just returned from a wintry 150-mile round trip to get some BLACK BBs. The PC gurus insist on them being black, and who am I to quibble? I started PC-ing with BLACK and that's what has worked so well for me just as they instructed. So...........I have some new powder coming from a Forum Member here, and LO! No BBs!! Amazon.ca has some but there's a 30% 'shipping charge'. 'Local' store (15 miles away) has WHITE ones and other colors. Did anyone ever notice they're all different WEIGHTS?? The BLACK ones are the heaviest: depending on maker, 0.20 or 0.25 grams. The others are all mostly 0.12 grams weight. Obviously, the heavier BLACK BBs are the ones giving the better static charge which is maybe why some members here using 'colors' are not getting good results???

It's not so much the color as it is what they are made of. Different materials generate more static than others.

Well, must be BLACK is some 'heavy' material the others aren't made of.
Whatever material it is that makes a heavier 6mm BB..............makes 'better' static??

The only color I could find around here was 'camo'...khaki, olive drab, brown and creme colors, they work fine but I keep an eye peeled for the black ones too. A couple years now and still haven't found any...oh well.

I started out using dark blue now I'm using lime green Colt, they work great. Just walking across the living room and touching anything will shock you here though.

You should have just paid the 30% shipping sucharge and saved a 150 mile trip. Or just scavenged half the BBs from you exsisting setup. I've bought BBs once and each time I try a new container I just take some from old containers. I've PC'd where the lead to BB weight ratio was probably over 1000 to 1.

If the BB's don't work for PC'ing, stick them in a nylon knee-high in a military sock, tie off the knee-high, tie off the sock, inverse the sock over the stuffed part and stitch the end together volla you have a lightweight, washable shooting sock.

I have good results with white or black. The translucent colors are acrylic and don't work for me.

Yup. When I first set up, and subsequently, I got some of his. Again, 'shipping'! I made today's trip for some locally-unobtainable groceries, so dropped in to Canadian Tire for the BBs, dontcha know.

When I first tried PC I found black BB at WalMart. Had to buy a large jar so I haven't looked lately.

Packing peanuts or crumbled styrofoam in pvc pipe with each end plugged by cottage cheese containers with bullets and powder (no BB's) in them works exceptionally well for me. Ten seconds of shaking gets it done.
