5744 price what are you seeing

Stopped in the local gun shop yesterday, checked the price on 5744 because I am getting low.

    $42.99.

Is this the new normal for this powder?

Loading in the 40 grain range for what I am using it for makes it a little spendy.

It has always run higher than anything else. 8 lb kegs are usually $25 over anything else and the cheapest way to buy it if you really need it.

39.99 at Scheels in Rapid City, SD so that is close in price. 4.00 a pound price difference for 2400, Cabela's being the higher price.

I've wanted to try it but thought it just too pricey.
