I have taken the XD-E to the range a couple more times now. It continues to perform flawlessly.
Yesterday, I put a mixture of new and several different reloads through the pistol.
I have over 500 rounds through the pistol now and never had a failure to feed , eject, or fire with it.
Accuracy, while not on the level of my Range Officer, is more than adequate. I am typically holding the 9 ring on the silhouette targets out to 15 yards quite easily.
I recommend this one.
Hpdrifter-----It did come out in 45ACP. They just announced it a few days ago.
Thanks for taking the time and putting out the effort for writing up your experience with the XD-E. That’s a nice read. I handled one a few weeks ago and liked it, but I have a few other pistols that cover that niche for me. I do like the SA/DA action for defensive arms that get lots of handling loaded. I like the safety and simplicity of the long first pull coupled with the hammer cocking. It gives me a better sense of safety over the average striker fired type.
