so I would like to try a gun but which one

Sears one isn't made anymore, eastwood is more money but works well I've heard.

I use the Harbor Freight gun and have coated thousands of cast bullets with the gun. The powder I get from a powder coating business, I use for powder coating large welded structures I put together in my shop. The shop sells me the small amounts they have left over from bigger coating jobs.
Before buying a gun try adding some styrofoam to your mix, it really makes a big difference in coverage.

My 2c is that using good powder and learning technique is the way to go. Don't sweat minor imperfections as the target and gun does not care.

Glad to hear that!
I own and have used extensively both the HF gun and the Eastwood Dual Voltage Gun. If you have a few extra bucks go with the Eastwood; much better gun. Additionally, the powder bottles for the Eastwood are inexpensive, that in itself will make up for the cost difference, assuming you plan on shooting several different colors.
