Titegroup is a perfectly good powder in the 45acp. I use it with all manner of cast boolits in it and it works very well.

it works fine in the 45.
    the 38 & 40 too.

it does really well in cat sneeze type loads for rifles and in larger cases for target type speeds.[41, 44's, 45 colt]

I know you don't want any load data but I thought you might like to see what's possible...
Meters like a dream in the Uniflow or Lyman 55.

I don't shoot the 200 grain this hot anymore for play and I switched to 700X because of availability at the time.

I am currently working my way through a few pounds of powders that are not my favorites while saving the good stuff for later.
The good stuff being Titegroup, Bullseye, and 231. These three powders do everything I want done in a handgun with the exception of 357 mag(IMR4227).
    I load 38 special, 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP.
Titegroup works well in all of them.

When I started reloading for my 45 acp I was asking my powder guy what he recommended. He said about all the guys he had loading 45's had switched to TG from bulleye. I bought some and loaded TG, hp38 and my old standby unique. The TG was the best. Was going the bulleye route but he talked me out of it.

Is it (hopefully!) cleaner than Unique?

I'll second that, I also load Titegroup in everything from .38 to .45, and I've had good results in .45.

It's one of the most cost effective powders out there, It's usually the least expensive on the shelf, and the loads are usually pretty low since its so fast, Makes for some low cost hand loads.

Just watch your powder throws, the load data windows are usually fairly tight from starting load to max load since it's a pretty fast powder.

I load ".38 spl" with it too, but I use a .357 case, and I can load anywhere from a light .38 target load up to a what you might consider a ".38 spl +P+" or a light .357 with it.

The one down side is when loading with a automatic powder measure on a turret press in a long narrow case like .38 / .357, is that it only amounts to a tiny volume of powder in the very bottom, so it's next to impossible to visually verify the charge in the case when it's still in the press.

I think I'm going to pick up some Unique when I can find it for the .38/.357 so I can get a little more case fill and hopefully be able to visually verify my charges.

But it works great in the short fat .45 case, I can see down in them and see the powder charge.

I use TG in 45 ACP as well as Unique, 231, 700x.
    Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? I use Titegroup in just about everything I load (38 Special,9mm,32 S&W Long,and 45acp). Meters great in my Uniflow and a pound of powder goes a long ways.

I won't use it in the 9mm's but about everything else is fair game if I don't want too much speed.
it makes pretty darn good 12ga. shot shells too.

You think so? I used 5.3gr in 45 ACP and it seemed like it smoked a lot to me, 6.0gr Unique smoked less both shot about the same both worked well.
