Not a 45-70 but a Rossi 38/357 20" Model 92. Got it a couple months ago and shot 38 and 357 and was not really impressed. Somewhere down the line I bought some 180 grn lead SWC and loaded them with 8.3 grns of Blue Dot. I was hitting a bowling pin 4 out 5 times @ 110 years. The time I missed the crown of the pin was facing me.
Would like to get another 250 to 500 180 gn coated SWC bullets
.
Next time out, the Rossi 92 16" 44/44mag and the 30-30. Holding off on bringing out the big guns
