Hi-Tek - New color in an old bucket

This is likely a dumb question, but go with me. I've only used one color- metallic gold with varying degrees of success. Recently I thought I'd start from scratch with a new color (black cherry) and a new swirling bucket. It worked "ok" in my PCC- left deposits on the muzzle device, but the last batch leaded badly in my HK pistol. So, on a whim I thought I'd try the metallic gold again. Threw 5lbs of 356-120 TC in the bucket, about 5mil of 7 parts acetone, 5 parts Gold, 1 part catalyst mix and swirled away. Didn't occur that this would take the black cherry residue off the bucket from the last batch. Oh well.

Dried them on a fan for 10 min

Preheated on top the oven for 10 min

    Baked for 12 min.

Passed the wipe and smash tests, so I'm assuming they'll be ok. Or not. Every batch I've ever tried passed the wipe and smash tests.

I cleaned out the bucket in between coats, but my question is- what do you all do? Just roll with it? Clean out the buckets when you change color? Separate buckets?
