    (Unconventional )tumble lubes?

Does anyone out there make a special tumble lube or use a "off the shelf " product as lube

Sure. Johnson's paste wax. Straight out of the can.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?

3 parts cooked off jpw and 1 part bees wax.
it makes a hard shell like the old 22lr's use.
it's the lube I was working on when we figured out the 45/45/10 lube needed the jpw cooked down.
another one I use is anhydrous lanolin and castor oil [2-1] for low speed 38 special target loads the swaged boolits have no lube grooves.
I don't really tumble those though, I just wipe the lube on them.

My best was about a 1 oz shot of Johnson's One Step floor wax. And a weighed amount of carnuba wax. Heated the liquid wax with a soldering iron until the carnuba wax flakes melted and combined.

Cooled to a gel consistancy. Take a piece the size of a small pea and tumble it in 100 cast bullets.

I used it mostly as a top coat over BLL. Left an awesome hard shell and my bores never looked that shiny before.

Next batch I just incorporated it into the BLL.
