Casting Brothers,
Is there any reason why I cant cast and coat on the same day than allow a few days for the lead to harden before loading.
What risk am I assuming?

As soon as the freshly cast boolit is cool, you can PC or Hi-Tek coat.
Helps eliminate possibilities of contamination between the processes.
+1. Usually do.

+1 to casting and coating in same day. As mentioned above it helps cut down on possibility of contamination. I even use nitril gloves to prevent contamination with skin oils--it seems to help.
I usually cast one day, coat the next day and size the next day. I've done all 3 steps in the same day before and I've also separated the steps out by weeks. I've never noticed any benefit or detriment.
I've got bullets that were cast last year sitting in my basement collecting dust and dog hair that will coat just fine whenever I get around to it.
at least 75% of the time I cast and coat same day then wait 2 weeks or so to load/shoot
