    Barn find lead

I was walking the dog at our family farm two weeks ago (with a shotgun) and walked by a scrap pile that has been there for years, if not decades. I noticed some long grey bars as the grass is low due to drought this year. Those look like lead I thought and after picking one up there was no doubt. I asked dad where they came from he said oh yeah, I've been meaning to tell you about those for a while now.... hospital xray room sheeting melted and poured into channel iron. almost 400 lbs of it... thanks dad!

Nice find. But you said that you had your shotgun with you. Did you at least get dinner or in all the excitement of the find, did you forget what you went out there for?

Also I see a pile of teeth from a DU-AL loader hay bucker, we used Farmhand F-10 stackers, and I bent plenty of the round teeth when I was young.

Nope, no birds this year. Drought this spring devistated hatch numbers. We walked to say we hunted, but only one day, and not very hard. Better to let the population recover.
