Just sitting here this morning pondering how fast my prayer list has grown in the last few days. All in 4 days time, Mr. Short, an 87 yr old man just down the road from me, and a good friend, fell getting out of his truck and struck his head. He has a brain bleed, is in hospital, and doesn't know anyone. My next door neighbor pulled in yesterday evening to tell me that a mutual friend's mom has had a heart attack, probably ok with bypasses. In addition, his own MIL had a stroke day before yesterday, in hospital. To cap it all off, he was thought to have pneumonia, went to the doc yesterday, after tests it's lung cancer, a 1" lesion on the bottom of his left lung. More testing over the next few days to determine what to do next. He's a believer and I reassured him that I would pray for him and the others. Sometimes troubles seem to come in bunches. Makes my own pale by comparison. I still have 'em, but hand them off to the Lord every night, and thank Him every morning for a new day and a fresh start. GW
