    My Dad

My Dad died this evening... James Thomas Green.

He had been suffering with Alzheimers, and is definitely in a better place this evening.
Last visit I had with him, I got to play him the piano, and out of the blue he spoke my full name, said "That's my son", and then he started crying, so I know he was aware and remembered me for a brief moment.

RIP and God bless you Dad... and I love you very much, Pat.

Very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is and how horrible Alzheimer's is.

Pat, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father in 1999 and I still miss him....however, I know he is still with me guiding me and your father will still be with you if you just listen....that is to what he taught you...these are impressed in your brain and most important in your heart. Keep the faith brother and God will heal you. Paul

Lost both my parents over 10 years ago while holding their hands, and both had lived long full lives, but the missing is forever.
Alzheimer's robs both the patient and the family. Glad you had that last memory of him to cling to.
Prayers sent for you and the family.

Mine's been gone over 24, and I still think of him most every day. We'll see them again.

Sorry for your loss. Know that you'll miss him and it won't get easier. Lost my dad a quite a while ago. Then when we were spreading his ashes out in his deer hunting spot, an eagle flew up and started cruising around. The first one I'd seen out there. Now every time I see one I think of him. We didn't get along to good when he was alive, he was a drunk most of his life, but I still miss him.
    God Bless

Pat, I'm sorry for your loss also. Dad left us eight years ago, he was a lifetime bird hunter , trap shooter, and an absolute surgeon with a handgun!!! I won't lie to ya and say you won't miss him, just remember the good and slide past the bad!! He got us all fired up on reloading in the early 70's and I'm still doing it today!! P.s. love that old picture of him!! Prayers for you and your family.
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!

So sorry to hear buddy, you have my sympathy and condolences...

Your dad talking to you with clarity, love, and acknowledgment is heart warming and pretty special. I lost my Grandad about a week before last Christmas and he too had alzheimers. I did get to spend time with him prior to his departure to be with the lord but I really didn't get to say goodbye in his passing. Again, my sincere condolences to you and your family. God bless
    ~ Chris
