Depends on "where" is. In my area we have 5 gun clubs with in 20 minutes in any dirrection. All have heavy population problems. Horizontal muzzle control while one is in the chamber is a must. Rounds leaving the range are a quick way to get shut down. I wasted to much time single loading rounds after tipping the cartridge and loading it. The only thing I noticed on paper and crony was primer choice.
I don't know why but the CCI #34 primers gave me less SD and slightly tighter groups. Although not good enough for the more expensive #34 primers.
They run about $37 /1000 vs the $24/1000 wolf primers and more recent SB.

I just tried a gallery load in my rem 03, and had a big grin after getting her sighted in. Small charge of bullseye with a 170gr rnfp without a gas check. Was knocking down metal targets at 100yds.

    Don't over complicate it.

There are published loads for the 06 using every powder/bullet/primer combination that exists.

Stick with current reputable published data and you'll be fine.

Larry Gibson is a great source as well as the Ed Harris article, just search cast boolits and it will turn up.
