Frankford arsenal not coating bullets well

Like the title says. My FA tumbler doesn't seem to be doing it. The bullets tumble for 20minutes and even if I add BB they don't coat the bullets well. What am I doing wrong?

It's HF red which I thought was a decent powder to start with. Should I switch to a shake and bake method

HF powder is your problem. Those look Awsome compared to my HF red job. Lol hand tumbling HF red looked like chickenpox on my boolits after shaking on and off for 15 min. I gave up and ordered some quality PC.

Order some red from smoke...a vender here. Here is a 30 second shake n bake job with my first time using his red....

Here is some more of his red I did on Lee 200s the other day. All swirled for 30 seconds. There is so much powder build up that when I remove them and drop in another container and bounce up and down a few times to remove the excess so I get an even coat.

It's not you...it's your powder. For $20 you can pick 3 colors. Blue, purple, and clear work great as well.
