    T/C New Englander 12 ga.

I have a new in the box T/C New Englander 12 ga. shotgun with a fixed choke I received when my grandfather passed away.
The breach is removed from the barrel, other than that its brand new.

Does anyone know the value of this BP shotgun?

I was hoping to trade for an upland bird gun in 28ga., or at least a start of a trade.

I also have a couple of custom shop Hawken 50cal barrels with the tang. All polished up pretty.

    Thanks

Depending upon price I might be interested in one of the .50 Hawken barrels to go with my .54. Do you have any idea what the rate of twist is for the barrels? GF

I agree they typically bring a premium, especially when new / like new.

I'm sure you already know and I feel a little silly bringing it up, but just in case....You may want to double check your barrel size. The T/C .54 Hawken uses a 1" across the flats barrel while the T/C .45 & .50 use 15/16".

About $450 to 550. No idea why the breech plug is out but that to me would lower the price by $100-200 bucks.

The 12ga barrel alone is worth $300.that NE 12 is an amazing front stuffer with shot or patched ball.

Wow, location sure makes a difference. 3 years ago I bought an earlier gun with both the rifle and shotgun barrel. It came with some wads and over shot cards. I paid $250.00. Last year I bought a later version with the shotgun barrel with screw in chokes. It was $270.00 shipped.
