    New NOE 311-230FN PB mold

Really impressed with the NOE mold. Cast some up and sized to .309. Loaded with Accurate 1680. Functioned flawlessly in my 300 blackout sbr.

Better jump on that 5 banger now. NOE has them on sale for dang near the price of their 2 banger.

I am getting under 2" groups at 50 yards with a DSG 10.5" barrel, an Aimpoint red dot, and a Dead Air Sandman S suppressor. That's pretty darn good for a red dot. I'm sure I could do better.

The barrel has a 1 in 8 twist. That's off a make shift rest. I haven't tried to push out farther yet.

I am using Accurate 1680 powder loaded to 1050 fps and cut down 5.56 brass. Using range scrap lead.

I'm more than happy with the results so far. Don't think you could go wrong with this mold.

Curious how much diameter (over what your barrel slugs) is your bullet after sizing?
    .001, 002,
What powder is that? Eastman Ford Blue?

Yea that's Eastman Ford light blue.

It is .001 over what my barrel slugs at. I have about 300 rounds through it with no leading.

    Curious
The mold spec states the bullet is .311.
Does the mold drop them at that diameter with your "range scrap" lead?
They do not have a 5 banger in stock. I was thinking of having Arsenal Molds make a clone and dropping the diameter to .310 and remove the lube groves. Appreciate your feedback.

Oteroman go on the noe forum...active group buy (i think) that is the 247 whisper bullet that is smooth sides and a reduced nose so pc/ht won't make it too wide to feed.

I grabbed up a lightly used 3 cavity NOE on another site for $40!

I have this mold which casts at .311 with my WW+2%. I size to .309 and load with 10 grains of CFEBLK for 1000fps from a 16" 1-8 twist 300Blk.

CFEBLK is next on my list to try. Accurate 1680 is my go to powder for subs but I like to play with different powders.

Meters like water and shoots very soft and clean. It is a very fine grained powder, much like Accurate pistol powders (2,5,etc).

I finally got around to casting some boolits with my new mold. They drop from the mold at .312" and are very round. I sized them down to .311" and lubed the bottom two grooves with Glenn's black. I loaded up 10 rounds with 9gr H110Click image for larger version.

    What powder are you using?
Curious if anyone is pushing this bullet near MAX and what the accuracy is?

Shot the NOE 311-230FN PB mold today. 10.8gr of CFE BLK
I only had 80 yards to shoot at today. 5 rounds at just over an inch.
The load shows some promise. Click image for larger version.
