    200 to 225 grain RNFP mold for 44 special/mag?

I looked through the sites for Lee, Lyman, RCBS and Noe and can't seem to find what I am looking for. I shoot a Marlin 1895 in 44 mag and it shoots cowboy action RNFPs with 240 grain bullets in mag cases beautifully for a plinking/target load. I have replicated this with commercially cast boolits, but would much rather cast my own. Does anyone sell a mold that might turn out RNFPs in 200 to 225 grains in this cartridge? I cannot seem to find one.

I like the Lee 429-200-RF. Shoots great in my Rossi 92 and my Redhawk. It's my primary plinking bullet.

What weight does it actually cast at? What diameter do the bullets come out of the mold? The Marlins often need bigger bullets to shoot well.

I shoot the Lee 200gr RNFP as cast out of my H&R Handi Rifle with 8.5gr of Green Dot. With that load it will cover leaf at 25yrds, it’s a sweet plinking load.

you could just get this in 434 or 440 if you sent an e-mail
    to Tom.

Google Arsenal Molds. They have what you are looking for. Not as finely finished as an Accurate mold, but half the price and easy casting.

Accurate 43-230G is a double-crimp-groove, wide meplat design I use with great success in the .44-40, .44 Special and .44 Magnum.

I have 2/ea Lee 6 cavity moulds in 44-200RNFP. Both mould throw boolits in the .430-.431 diameter with WW+1%tin. Weight is 211-212 g. I have 2/ea Winchester .44 mag AE rifles and 1/ea Rossi 92 in .44 mag. All 3 rifles shoot this boolit very well. HOWEVER, for your Marlin, I think you'll need to go to Accurate, NOE or MP-Molds to get a mould that drops .433 to .434. In my experience with the Marlins in .44 mag.or .444 Marlin, they need fat boolits or they won't shoot well.

Shoots well out of my 629 and easy on the lead supply. Drops at 208gr w/ Roto metals range scrap.

RCBS 44-200 CM 636, designed more for the .44-40 but I can't see why it wouldn't work in a .44 Magnum.
    http://rcbs.com/Products/Bullet-Cast...00-CM-636.aspx

Drops at 0.430 / 0.431 cast from COWW, and weighs dead-on 200 grains from my mould.
However, may be a bit small - from what others have posted - for use in a Marlin.

Hmmm, that might really be just about the perfect mold. Have bookmarked it. For relatively low volume casting, is there anything wrong with their aluminum molds?

    nope.
they have really been working hard to get their molds lined out.
and the earlier issues they had should be fixed by now.

Bought an Accurate mold 43-240G take a look at Tom's catalog this one works very well in my Model 29 and my 44 special Ruger Bisley Flattop!

Really happy with this mold and see no reason why this wouldn't work in your 44 Mag Marlin.
