    Did wilton ever make actual pewter items?

    I have seen so much armetal that I generally run away when I see wilton markings. Did they make pewter in the past?

    Nope. All Wilton is cast aluminum.
    Looking for Ideal mold 419181 (44 Evans Long)
    "Joined Dates" are deceiving if you factor-in "lurk" dates.

    If I had a dollar for every piece of Wilton I have seen at local yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores etc... I would be a wealthy man.

    I was out looking in thrift stores this week. Didn't find any pewter, but found a bunch of the "Daily Bread" platters.
    I just smile when I see them. I think many neophyte pewter-hunters get fooled by those platters. I know I did.
