We used to live outside of Co Springs about 15 years ago and I was the only active caster that I knew. But I got reclaimed shot from the Aurora Gun Club and lots of nice wheel weights from local tire shops that kept me busy.

Minning the berm is easy. Buildn strainer box in 30 minutes with less than 15 dollars worth of supplies. Then head to the berm with buckets and a large tote. I can fill the large tote up in less than an hour with a few hundred pounds of lead.

The reclaimed shot from couple different sources on the web looks interesting.
Some of them have free shipping.
You can usually pick up enough exposed lead off of the berm that digging is not necessary. After a rain is a good time. I use a sifter box when I mine the sand trap in the indoor pistol range. Take lots of buckets and only partly fill them!
