Sizing Question for 6mm Lee Navy

My favorite rifle to shoot is my Lee Navy 6mm. It is just a hoot to shoot out to about 200+ yards.

I use .22 swift brass which is about 4mm short. But it works well.

    It slugs to .243.

    I started shooting .243 (dreaded j-bullets)

I got a RCBS .243 mold. Which drops at .243.

Started using white label. Nice but the bullets are sticky and get covered in dust.

So I began to powder coat. After coating the bullets are .248

Should I resize? and to what diameter. Lee makes a .243 sizing die. Size after pc-ing?

    Seeking advice.

    Thanks in Advance

That's a real antique, so old there is no historical SAAMI chamber spec for it, last time I checked there were 88 different 6mm calibers, and Lee Navy was surely one of them.

before I got all worked up about body diameter I'd check the nose diameter.

Sorry I am slow responding. If I am understanding about checking nose diameter.

The swift cases I use are 4mm shorter than the Lee Navy and the .243 Bullet Mold I use casts a 95 gr bullet. Which is lighter and shorter than the military loading. So the nose of the bullet is not near the end of the chamber.

If I am talking crazy talk, please tell me

    ARSENAL 6 mm bore rider

Tried out Arsenals 243 115-NR-BR-GC bore rider bullets yesterday and it is great. IT is designed for powder coating(no groves). I had sized drive band portion to .244 and bore rider to .236 to fit a barrel I am using on a 6X45. With the aloy I had, the bullet loaded out (PCed and GC) weighed 108 gr. This is above any cast bullet weight data I could find for this caliber so I picked two powders that I like and have a quanity of to start testing. Both loads shot groups just about 1" in diameter. With just charges that I hoped would nt blow up gun, I thought this was outstanding. The molds are outstanding and bullets drop easily from mold. When I got back from range I heated up the pot and cast another 5 pounds worth for next week. This is going to be fun.
