Winchester 30 cal 180 grain silvertip (old style) bullets

40 aluminum tip Win S-T's, 30 cal 180's, once a regular produced item as a component and in Winchester factory loaded ammo. Can be used in any standard 30 cal such as 300 Savage, 30-40, 30-06, 308 and prolly the magnums. Not for 30-30 or anything with a tube magazine due to the semi spitzer profile.

We'll do this lottery style, enter once and I'll draw a name after October 23.

At times the old silver tips would expand before penetrating and knock a chunk of hide and meat out leaving nasty but ineffective wound saw this happen more than once after being fired in a 30/30.I have used them in 06's with out this problem would be afraid to guess the reason.

I happen to have a 180gr load for my ‘06 load that I’ve named “Old Faithful”. With my fixed 4x, I can shoot 1 1/4” 5 shot groups all day long. It’s not the fastest load out here, in fact the chronograph showed 2540 fps, but knowing exactly where that slug is going to be down range more than makes up for the velocity.
