    Swage-O-Matic Specs

    Hi guys,
Does anyone here have the thread dimensions for an old CH Swage-O-Matic? I have a press but no dies for it. I am going to be needing to use for some of the operations in swaging 22lr, So I have to make dies for it. It is packed away so I can't measure the threads right now. Thought I would put out a call for help with this. The threads for the top and bottom are different. The bottom one (if I remember correctly) looks to be about 3/4 18 or thereabouts.
Also if anyone has any old dies for this rig that they would part with for cheap money I would be interested in those also.
Thanks very much. You folks are always so helpful. I would never be able to do this stuff without you.

Mine is also put away at the moment. However, you have the mating threads that you can measure.
It's really a simple design, so it would be difficult to mess anything up.

I'm not so sure that anyone would ever have taken the time to completely document such a relic of the past. It's usefulness in today's swaging is limited.

I use it mainly for transforming some 147 grain FN 9mm bullets (.355") to 38 caliber (.358") SWC bullets.

Search "Swag-O-Matic die dimensions" (without the quote marks) on this forum. I asked essentially the same thing and GONRA was kind enough to furnish that information.

Use a commercial "5/16 National Fine" bolt, trimmed to suit. Use the floating spacer too.

Ram top die holder is 7/8-20 threads.

Looks like these olde CH swaging presses are pricey now.
You can make yer own tooling to derim .22 LR and .22 Mag cases.

With care, 7/8-20 holddown, die, punch - you can draw perfect primer cups
from flat copper sheet in 2 steps. Slow, but perfect.
Blank it out with a Harbor Freight hole punch.
STP Oil Treatment is a great die lube. Messy, but perfect.
