    Wts: 1849 colt pistol

    Nice old pistol nickel plated. 31 cal
    Plating is very old not sure if factory or not.
    Bore is nice. All numbers match.
    850$ plus shipping and insurance
    Interest in trade for pair ruger army's with fixed sights

    Yes it does, it does need the spring replace on the pawl
    It works but you need to hold it so the pawl goes in place and rotates the cylinder. I have never shot it. My dad got in his gun shop in 1966. It has not been shot in all that time.

    According to Colts website it is a 36 cal. model 1849 pocket colt manufactured in 1864.

    Just a bump for the cause.

    Not sure what website but this is a 31 cal. I believe the 36 cal were only 5 shot. This is a 6 shot.

    Good luck with your sale - it's an interesting one and it would be nice to know if it is factory plated or plated later on in life. The stampings appear to be pretty crisp, etc. so I wouldn't be surprised if it was factory plated.

    It is clearly a 31cal.
