#352 is for sale on Ebay. They are asking $6k. I'd consider that price if it were in immaculate shape and complete. $5500 is a more fair value.

    Go get-it, guys!

Sorry Kevin, I had to take your link out, it's the rules.

I started “watching” it very shortly after it was listed, the next day I received an email with a special offer from the seller, iirc it was $150 off or so, I took it as him being in a hurry to sell.

I go that offer too. I took it as they are fishing for a taker. I assumed everyone got it.

    I have a Hollywood progressive.
Posted it here a while ago.
It has some weight to it.
Do you know if there is a data base for the progressives ????

The press-body is aluminum. Am guessing the weight is >75lbs.

Sure don't want to drop that on a foot.

My Super Turret weighs 50 pounds. Add 5 pounds for swage bars.

Abunaitoo, the press I remember you posting was an Automatic Metallic press (think of a Dillon 1050). When forum member, Trac Vision bought all remaining inventory of Hollywood Reloading Tools; I believe he sold less than a dozen Automatic Metallic presses. Besides yours, I’ve only seen one other which is owned by member, HGS.

The Hollywood Progressive is a bit like a Dillon 550 with the manual shell plate turn arms, but with the capability of reloading two calibers at once if the top stationary head is cut out for two primer sleeves. I have only seen two; mine, and another that I fear did not survive the scrapyard. Though Hollywood printed a sales flyer for the Progressive, those two Presses may actually be prototypes. Don’t know for sure unless other owners come forward.

    Hollywood Progressive ^^^

Isn’t this your press Abunaitoo? ^^^

What years did they offer or produce the progressive?

That's my press on the table.
Nice dog in the first picture.
I do have all the parts for it.
Also the powder measure and some dies.
Maybe someday I'll pull it out and play with it.
Had no idea about the history of it.
    How rare it is.
    It sure is heavy.

First off, it’s pretty hard to pinpoint exact dates when it comes to anything Hollywood.

Most Hollywood catalogs, flyers, and announcements did not have dates attached.

Most research into the chronological aspects are done by researching old American Rifleman magazines, Gun Digests, Shooters Bibles and such.

The Progressives were announced in 2/62, But another publication in 1966 said three Progressive/Automatics were coming. I believe that the Shotshell Automatic came first because Lyle Corcoran was into shotgun competition, and there appears to be more of those made than the other Automatics.

Then a review in 1969 said that Metallic Automatics were being developed.

Since we know of about a dozen Metallic Automatics, I would say that those came second since we only know of one or possibly 2 of the Progressive presses being made. My guess would be late 1969 to the early 70’s.

    Only two made????
    UGGGGG!!!!!!!!
I was hoping to find a different shell plate.
I'm guessing that plan is out the window.
Last time I looked at it, I didn't see and numbers.
But I wasn't looking all the closely.
Kind of strange how it ended up here in the middle or the pacific.

Only 2 of the Progressives, Not Automatics like yours.

Trac Vision had some Shell plates made up for the Automatics (yours). He sold his inventory to someone else. PM me and I’ll give you the guy’s information that has all of the Hollywood parts now.

So I have an Automatic and not the Progressive.
    That makes sense.
I'm not even sure what shell plate I have.
I'll have to pull it out and really look at it.

So.... #352 I assume is the one we're talking about? That's the one I see on Ebay tonight.

#352 is now at $4500, down from $6000. That's a good price, especially considering all the stuff that comes w/ it.
