Slim - which Big Lube bullet is that? I'm thinking of buying one of the Big Lube 45-70 moulds, and wonder if I'll need Lathesmith to make a custom die, or if a standard die will work.

    My sizer is GREAT!

Just a bump with good comments from a happy camper here.

I got my sizer die from Lathesmith, very impressed with workmanship. Easy to deal with, and it was made to order. Job well done.

I just got another one and the workmanship is second to none. If you have ever tried your hand at a metal lathe you will wonder how he can do the work he does at the price he charges. Thanks again!

Got 'em Chris - they look great; lube ought to be here any day, can't wait to try them out.

Stupid question though, for a single lube band boolit, does it matter which set of holes are used. Bottom vs middle?

Plus, the eternal trap shooter question, 7 1/2 or 8's (fer pluggin the holes).

    Thanks again,

    Jim

I plug all mine but the TOP band of holes when I have a single lube groove. Has worked great so far on the 401 and 452 dies I got from Chris. I think the shell I cut open was a "standard" birdshot shell, so standard that I don't think it was marked on the shell, but maybe it was on the box. I doubt if you could go wrong with either of the sizes you mentioned.

Hey guys, you are right on about the shot size and which holes to plug, just carefully plug/unplug those things as needed, and you should be speedily sizing great slugs in no time at all. Chris, you should be getting your .358 die in the next day or two, it's on the way.
    Enjoy!

    lube sizer

I would like to order a die and a punch, but, I am not sure what to the order. Is there a phone # where you can be reached? I also would like to talk to someone regarding getting the machine to function smoothly. Can't seem to get the lube down into the bottom chamber. Any help will be appreciated. Bill

im interested in a few dies but im not sure what style i need. I just bought a new star/magma sizer from magma. do i need :

"standard" dies is $26 for the Buckshot design, and $34 for the flanged style"

im after a .430 and a .452 sizer. i think my top punch should work for both cals.

does buckshot design refer to the way the extra lube holes are blocked?
