GF, pm replied to with most questions answered. A little more info:
The prices on the lead page are up-to-date. I'm like you, I don't like surprises, and it wouldn't be fair to expect guys to read all the pages on this thread just for that info.

A rubber hammer and dowel will work, but a 3-piece die removal tool is generally more convenient, IMO. And definitely loosen that setscrew, I've seen more than one nice machine wrecked because someone tried to beat out a die that's still held in place with the setscrew!
Paypal, PMO's, MO's, and personal checks can all work for payment.

Congrats on finding a nice original Star to put back into service, with the proper care and feeding it will outlast both of us! Sizing a HBWC base-first would probably be best, as the soft lead is very easily deformed and the flat nose should prevent damage when sizing base-first.

Is it possible to take a Lyman or RCBS lube sizer and turn it to fit a star machine?

I'm guessing you mean the dies... if thats the case you are SOL because the diameter of both is smaller than Star dies.
Looking for Ideal mold 419181 (44 Evans Long)
"Joined Dates" are deceiving if you factor-in "lurk" dates.

Lathesmith, do you make Star dies which are shorter without lube holes for powder coated bullets?
    Regards,

    Gary

BTW...the above ordered dies are great. I think I’ve purchased 4 or 5 dies from Lathesmith over the last couple of years. All have been exactly what I needed.

I received my die & top. Punch today. WOW. The best packaging of a small item I have ever received. The craftsmanship of the items is top notch. The best. Great product for a very fair price. Thank you
