Since I already have a 9.3x62. I don't really need a 35 Whelen, so this one is on the chopping block. The Mauser action is complete and nothing has been modified. It is a 1912 Chilean large ring 98 Mauser manufactured by Steyr in Austria. Has light freckling on a good portion of the receiver and some pitting along the wood line. The same with the trigger guard assembly. Everything that shows would clean up nice when the metal is refinished. The barrel is a take off I bought from a member here about 6 months ago. It measures about 22 1/2" long and I believe it is a 1-14 twist. The stock is rough shaped and semi-inlet for a Mauser. The wood is Flame Myrtle. I can send additional pics to interested parties. I'm asking $425 shipped for this one. The action does need to go to an FFL that will accept it from a private party. I can ship the barrel and stock directly to the buyer or with the action. Open to reasonable offers and possible trades. Barrel SPF to Andy
