The story is that I 'lost' an AR upper in my moving through the In-laws' house into our new place. Looked and looked; Who loses 1/2 a dang rifle?! A while ago I gave up and sold the RCBS die set for this chambering (buyer: "do you have a barrel to go with this?", me: "No, that's why I'm selling the dies!"). A couple of weeks ago the Father-In-Law calls and says they were cleaning off shelves in their basement and am I missing 1/2 a dang rifle? Why yes I am!
FS- unknown mfr 20", 6mmx223 barrel. Medium heavy contour, Straight fluted and phosphate finished (assumed Not SS). .75 at the gas port, Rifle length gas system, grooved for A2 FSB. Muzzle crown looks and feels good and threaded 1/2x28. Crisp, shiny bore and breechface has finish wear so it is not brand new.
Brass was easily formed from .233/5.56, but I've gone the route of .300BO in the years between misplacing the upper and it returning home. I'd never even shot it before the move and its prolonged absense😔
Asking $60 plus actual postage.
