    Is RCE swaging equipment gone?

I've been trying to get to RCE's on-line store & all I get is "Bad Key". I know RCE has been slipping in the last couple of years, just wondering if Robert gave up finally. I need some lead wire & a spare ejection wire for my RCE pointing die. RCE provides good products, if you can get them.

    All good things.......

Wonder if its just a technical issue or if something bigger happened. Wonder if anybody had open orders with them still.

I sure hope he is still producing dies. I have had a 257 set ordered for over 3 years. Six months or so ago he sent the 308 set I ordered at the same time as the 257 set. He hasn't sent the shorter .510 jackets or the BMG punch holder either. For my purposes I think his Walnut Hill dies are the best available and I have very many sets. I'm glad I bought them when I could get them and if the 257 set never comes I will make do with the 257 M die set and the Mity-Mite press I do have. I know Richard is about my age (75) and he can't do this forever. It is my hope that another skilled die maker will take over building Walnut Hill dies (BT comes to mind) so we can still get them for the foreseeable future.

    pertnear,
If it's lead wire you are needing, try zbench, his is pretty good and not as expensive, I think.

I believe Richard turned 'only' 70 last July. Still in damn good shape so lets hope he just keeps on working.

I hope someone takes over his business when here retires, ordering some things has turned me away from trying new projects. 1 man serving the public is a large job at 70 + years old.

Try clearing the browser cache, before going back to a site you can't access.

I got through finally. His site seemed to be up & down. I used the email feature built into his site & got a response from Richard the next day. What I really needed was some ejection wires for my pointing die. Richard sent them out with complete instruction that same day! Now that is customer service!

Winter is fast approaching & I'm getting prepared to convert about a zillion .22 RF cases into bullets while staying in a nice warm place. Haven't got a feel for how much wire I'm going to need but I'll definitely give Zbench a call. He's really getting some good recommendations here.

There is only one problem with all this, there are some really good deals out there on .224 bulk bullets. Oh well, what's the fun in that...
