I bought a 1917 from the Civilian Marksmanship Program that had a bad barrel. I got a Criterion barrel and had it put on by a gunsmith in Colorado that hangs out on the Culver's Shooting Page, going by the handle Rick the Librarian. He specializes in the 1917. The rifle now shoots great, but has a problem with vertical stringing after about 4 shots, which is a bedding issue.
