I've had a Miroku/Winchester 1895 SRC in .30-06 for a few years now and I've finally found it a companion but this time in .30-40 caliber. It still has the cardboard behind the saddle ring to protect the finish! I paid more than I should have but when I saw it up for auction I had to have it. I've only got two boxes of Remington 180 grain ammo so I need to get an order in with Grafs for some brass. This one will also be getting a Pattern 21 sight as soon as Buffalo Arms gets them in stock again.

I have an original 95 takedown in 30-40 that is just dandy. I'd like to find a beater carbine--I saw one for sale about 7 years ago and kick myself for not buying it. Those Miroku guns are real pretty.

Great rifles. Used to own a .405 but sold it. This month I corrected that and purchased a 30-06 and a .405, both take downs with case colors. Still waiting on the .405 to ship. They are accurate and super smooth!

Well Done! The .30 USA has its own following and I'm a fan! This just calls for an NOE .311-218 RN GC with 16 gr. 2400 (thanks C.E. Harris). Can't help but feel the sweat on my hand gripping that forend as I make my way through the bush approaching Santiago. "Colonel! Colonel Roosevelt! What orders do you have for us, sir?" It almost seems that I was there...in 1898...

Finally got a picture of the .30-06 and the .30-40 together. Hopefully soon I'll have time to take them out shooting.

If you want your m21 sight, contact the maker https://762precision.wordpress.com/p...tern-21-sight/. I put one on my original 95 rifle in .30-40 and it is the best thing ever happened to that old 1900 gun. I paper patch a 215 grain Accurate bulet which I size to .303 and patch up to .312 with tracing paper. 40 rains of Reloader 19 makes a serious killing load with super accuracy.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the trouble with many shooting experts is not that they're ignorant; its just that they know so much that isn't so.
