I just got my Marlin 336 back from JES and fire formed a half dozen 30-30 to make 38-55 brass.
They're a little short but very usable.
I'm waiting on a mould and loading dies.
Maybe I'll go deer hunting this year.

Do a search for reforming 38-55 from 30-30, easy to do and thurty-thurty brass is usually free for the asking at gun clubs around here. I've done it and the brass shoots well.

i annealed then loaded up 30/30 brass with 6 grs of UNIQUE with a toilet paper tissue over the powder and filled it with FARINA and pushed it into a bar of IVORY soap for a plug, held it in a vertical position and fired it, a little short but a fully functioning 38/55 case.
