I recieved my hatch pid today. I am totaly impressed with the quality of this controller. I bought this because I had tried to make my own pid some time ago. The problem with a diy unit is getting a housing and punching all the holes and getting everything right. The hatch unit is top notch. The only real issue I have with this unit is that I set it outside by my truck. When I went back out an hour later my truck was not washed and waxed. I guess I expexted too much automation.

    Thanks for the review.
I spent $150 on a rectangle knock out for the PID cutout and another $60 on a hydraulic hole punch set so I could use it.

I try to make a commercial quality unit.
The initial units were cut with a jig saw but I didn't like the way it ended up. Even taping the face before cutting, I ended up with scratches.
With the knockout setup, I end up with a much better looking product.

So let start off by saying I was on the fence about one of these for a while. Well quite frankly I'm glad I waited as I received mine yesterday and what a what a professional looking job. It is very well built, Nice slim profile, very easy to use. Thanks Hatch!

    Great job Hatch

I received my controller promptly from Hatch and it looks great. I just tried it out tonight heating a partial pot to let it learn and am very satisfied with it. Going to fill it up and cast this week with it. 👍

Thank for the great product Hatch.

    Thank you for your support.
Still have 3 120v models ready.
Have 2 more that can be built as 220 units for anyone needing one.
