    WTS - Glenfield 30-30

Price drop, trades added to last post.

This is a glenfield 30GT that has had the barrel and mag tube replaced. Replacement barrel is from a Glenfield 36G. If you don't know both, these glenfields are marlin 336s with a few cosmetic differences. The 30gt is a 1980 and the 36g parts are from 1965.

Barrel is 20" with a good bore and front and rear sights. The mag tube is a 3/4 tube and holds 4 rounds. No barrel bands, has dovetails for the stock and mag tube. Wood is birch in good shape but was refinished at some point. The buttplate and metal at the tang are a little proud from the refinishing process. Rifle loads, cycles, fires and ejects as it should. There are handling marks on the wood and metal and scratches on the left side of the receiver. Will ship with a glenfield 4x scope, weaver rings, rail and hammer extension. Also 20 pieces of once fired Rem brass.

WAS $375 now $325 shipped and insured from an individual to your ffl. USPS MO only. First I'll take it followed by a PM rules.

Thanks for looking. PM me your email if you want more pics, uploading pics from my tablet is troublesome.

That's a nice rifle for the money. I seem to be rare in that I like the half magazines on lever guns.

I've never owned a lever gun aside from a henry .22 LR, but one friend who is into this like you guys, tells me that short mag is often far more accurate then the BBanded full tube... IDK but never caught him in a "windy" story...

RR your friend is correct about the barrel bands.
The SC, or sporter carbines, the ones with the shorter mag tubes and the end caps, vs
the RC, regular carbines, with the 2 sets of bands, seem to always be just a little more accurate.

By the way, OP nice little carbine you got there.
    5 30-30's at the moment.
    Good luck with the sale.
