    SKS BXM Stripper Clips

I'm new to the SKS world, and after much reading here and sksboards ordered 20 of the Czech BXN marked stripper clips off eBay for $33 shipped. I don't have anything to compare these too, but these clips are like new and very very well made. They slip right into the bolt carrier of my Tula and feed the rounds like a dream. Thanks to the Cast Boolit community for yet more great advice.

    Jkrem,

It sounds good the stripper clips worked fine for you. I own several SKS arms; both Russian and Chinese. I acquired a few in the 1990s when NEW Chinese went for $85 with cleaning kit, sling and accessories. The Russian SKS was $50 more for NEW arms.

All my SKS arms like the Lyman #311410 cast boolit and IMR4198 powder. I cast wheelweights and a dash of tin, drop the boolits from the mould into a bucket of water, size .311, lube with Alox and like the results.

They are made of good steel I repurpose them all the time, they make good flat springs. I picked up 30 at the range a week ago.

Do your self a favor and throw them in your brass tumbler for a bit. The edges of my cheepo strippers were like a fine hacksaw right where your thumb slides if u r going to fast.

The BXN have a wax coating and are not sharp like the Chinese repros, tossing them in the tumbler will strip that coating off
