Hunting tags $$ what about you guys?

I got my deer tags this Saturday. There a lot of things about New York that I could complain about, but this seems like a reasonable deal. For $57 I got : 1 bear tag; 1 buck tag for rifle/shotgun/pistol; 1 muzzle loader tag either sex; 2 doe tags; 1 fall turkey, either sex and 2 spring turkey, Toms only.
$57 for 1 bear,4 deer,3 turkeys seems like a good deal to me.
What are you guys paying for tags?

Hey neighbor, this year I turn 70. I will miss the first few days of deer season, but it is the last year I will have to buy Hunting OR Fishing License. All for less than $70-I can't remember if it is the Drivers license that is $65, Forever Sportsmen's Lic. $69.50 or vice versa, either way I will buy them both.

DL is $69, Forever Sportsmen's License is $65

    it's around 20$ for a deer tag.
25$ for an ELK.[either sex /pick one/ in many places]
a sports-mans package is @100$, you get spring/fall bear, deer, elk, spring/fall turkey,
    mtn. lion, and fishing.

Sounds pretty reasonable in Ideeeho for the sportsmans. That's a lot of freezer material. I like AR's tag fees. I just spent $59 for whatever I needed to go duck hunting in MI. Plus it cost $4 per 1/2 day hunt on one of the management areas. Small game was included. In AR, doesn't that include fish too, not sure of trout stamp. I am getting old, it is not as cold down in AR. Is the White River, Flaming George, and Great Lakes still battling it out for the biggest Brown?

I don't even know. Something like $90. That's for the standard license which is one buck, one turkey per season and small game. Plus an archery, bear and migratory bird tag. I didn't get the pheasant tag which is new this year and they're out of their minds w/ what they're charging. Had to buy a federal duck stamp on top of that cost.

Doe tags are $6.90 each. Only got one for the WMU that I live in. I have a DMAP permit for an area by my place in the Poconos. I think that was $13. And they decided that we know have to pay for a hard copy of the hunting regulations.

I honestly don't know what the total I paid is. And I doubt I will spend one minute hunting this year. The money does go to help managing the land so it's not complete wasted. But the PAGC is doing a lot of stupid things lately. Seriously, I had to pay for a hard copy of the hunting regulations and you can't buy them at an issuing agent. It will only be mailed to your house. They used to have a PDF version that you could download. That's gone and the online version is interactive. Can't exactly put it on my phone like I could the PDF. Did I mention the PAGC is making a lot of dumb choices?

Here in Texas after you reach 65 the cost for a combination hunting and fishing license goes down a lot. Get the combination and take my ten year old grandson hunting hunting and fishing. He still makes a lot of noise but is getting better with the rifle the rifle range. Will shoot more the first weekend in October.

Here in Oregon, we PAY! First you have to buy a license $32.00, then to hunt big game you have to apply...$8.00 fee per tag. If you don't draw any tags...oh well. You are allowed one buck deer, there are no doe tags in my part of the state, with the exception of the muzzle loader white tail...it is either sex. A deer tag will cost $26.50, elk tag $46.00 Antelope $48.00 but don't worry about that one, been trying for years, haven't got drawn yet. And if you are from out of state better have deep pockets. Hunting used to be pretty good around here, but since the smart people decided that wolves in this state were a good idea it has gone down hill. Now if you want a nice buck look in your neighbors yard...can't hunt them but you can look. oh well, enough venting.

Louisiana over 60, $5 for everything hunting and fishing.

Also in Louisiana, if over 60 years of age, you can purchase a lifetime fishing and hunting license for $50. From that point on annual deer tags are no charge. The tags cover 2 antlered, 3 antlerless, and one either sex deer.

    @ GunnyJohn

You have more Olive Gardens and Cafe' shops than a lot of states. The guberment officials need to keep up with the cost of living well, panache, and mighty. MI is getting like that.

Mrs. Thumbcoker and I each get 2 landowner deer tags (one either sex one antlerless only) free because we own over 40 acres of land that we live on. We could also get free archery and turkey tags but usually just buy those otc.

In Florida if you are 65 and a resident your drivers license is your fishing and hunting license for everything. And we moved away from all that.
