I love the leather on the butstock. I would suggest soaking them in water till they are very wet and dark in color, then putting them back on and lace them up real tight, they will shrink wrap to fit...

I have only a few.... Two Garands one was born to Winchester in April '43 (I was only 3 months old then) and the other in '54. Then there is a Romanian SKS with both the original wood stock and a synthetic which I do not like (too heavy and ugly), a pair of Brit 303's one a two groove No 4 born in Canada and the other a sporterized mixmaster with fantastic sights and a very decent trigger. I also had a Mauser 98/22 Czech BRNO made 8 x 57 which I had rebarrelled into 6.5x55 Sweede and mounted a laminated thumbhole stock. This thing will shoot 1/2" groups all day at 100 yds.Click image for larger version.

I usually just visit the LGS. If you buy, they're extra nice.

    Tyguy95,

Nice collection. I began in 1958 and never quit buying nice stuff. I shoot most of my stuff with cast boolits here on the farm.

I did manage to pick up this gem though today no.4 mk1 with matching numbers. Any idea on a value? Or rarity? It's stamped ROF with an L prefix before serial number

You have a Ma Deuce and you have stress? Are you out of shells for it?
Just kidding, nice gun room/vault/stress free place.

I just pictured a coffee mug as a dipper.
