I think a combination of all your advice will help. I am going to get shootin sticks, lighten up my grip and try shooting from sitting position, and when the situation calls for it, shoot instinctually, luckily, im pretty good at that, I have been shooting since I was 7 and I remember I impressed my dad the first time I shot!

Peep sights or red dots will help. I have 3 Millett SP-1's for a reason.

Heres a tip that is more mind related. Don't think about the tremors when shooting or worry about them. The minds thoughts can bring them on as fast ( maybe faster) than the muscle stress. I can remember a junior who was having an issue with cross firing in the offhand string. I was coaching the team and he was shooting. We fired his 9th shot and looked at me and called his shot, I told him it was on call a 8 at 4:00, He grined and informed me he hadn't cross fired. Guess what shot 10 was??? Your mind plays a big part in this, along with the body istelf

Yes, you can buy it at Walmart. Walmart stocks vitamins and other supplements in alphabetical order to make them easier to find.

You may be onto something there. Back in the '60's when I was in basic training, we were taught to shoot instinctively with BB guns. The idea was to keep both eyes open and use only the front sight. Study your target briefly, then raise your weapon and once the front sight and target line up , shoot. We actually would throw smaller and smaller disks up and shoot them.

    Give it a try.

Ropinerole may help. It's a Rx drug for LPMD and Restless Leg Syndrome. All the non alcohol advice is good. Buy a RedRyder bb gun and remove the sights. Shoot it a lot till hitting small targets is easy by instinct. Like you said- think long, think wrong.
    Good luck, friend.

Ropinerol is what I take, and it really makes a difference. I have neuropathy, and RLS, it helps with both, as well as tremors in my hands.

It sounds like you need to do a search on this forum for the Asperly Aimless rifle. It will prove amusing if nothing else.

    Redhead thread...

I've dated six of them for extended periods. Married one of them... I've never ridden a bull but I used to ride broncs (cow horses, like bulls but they bite) and the analogy is accurate.

Hay Rebel, Looks like a lot of good advice from a lot of smart members. I especially like oldblinddog's. Just read about a vibrating wristwatch that tricks the brain into not sending tremors to the hands. Developing for Parkinsins? Might have some future prospects for us shakeyyy shoters.

I searched and lots came up. Use the search at the top of the page and give it some time. The Asperly is not a fast read.

I've also noticed that poor sleep and low blood sugar make my shaky hands shakier.

Also, a caveat to my post #16. Although a shot of whiskey does help me with writing, shaving and a number of other things. I don't drive or handle firearms within an hour or two after downing that shot of hooch.
