    Artful nailed it. The main character in an old BBC program (Rumpole Of The Bailey) used the term to describe his better half.

    Well yes, depending on who has made the bbl. Older spec British bores are all over the place.

    "The nominal bore diameter of US .416 barrels is .408, groove is +.008" post #2 this thread. My goodness the guy was just wanting to look through available 416 molds, he has no rifle or barrel in 416 or 9.3, just curious as to what is available as "in stock" if you will. He couldn't find any listed under 41 cal because Accurate has them under 42 cal, I provided a link.

    thanks again swheeler, do you suppose thos steel jacketed solids were bad for the bores? or does the copper plating help? I would love to get a big bull elephant one day, as well a an Asiatic buffalo
