Dead slick TH lam stock needs grip improvement = how? + suggestions!

Have a great new Boyds lam TH stock for my "Bestill" Omega/Brux build. (SML for those who are wondering what that is)
Well the Boyds is very smooth in the pistol grip and forearm areas. I really like some "grip enhancement" to help hold the gun. Mostly it would be checkering but there is none. I have some ideas on possible solutions but what kind of experiences and suggestions are there? Thanks, 10ga

Skateboard tape as used by pistol shooters. Peel and stick after you cut it. Make up a template using an old box like chrispy critters or something similar then put the tape on that a cut. Frank

Talon grips come to mind. I find skateboard tape too rough for direct skin contact, but I have the Talon adhesive sandpaper grip on a Glock. They sell various precut ones as well as sheets and strips for DIY. Material comes in a rough texture and a rubberized texture.

I like the dimpling punch from Brownell's or a tear-drop bit with a dremmel will do nicely

Have someone checker. Laser will do good pattern also. Pm me if you want to talk about it more.

I've seen some rather nice jobs done with the sandy paint they put on steps to make them not-slippery.

On the other hand, a pair of the tacky-palmed "work gloves" for a few bucks would be really cheap and involve no permanent modifications to the rifle...

I don't care for checkering and I live & work in the sweat capital off the U.S.A.
Boyd's has options on laser cut checkering, initials, etc. send it back to them. My opinion only.
