Blast from the past ...Copperized bullets

in a trade I got a box of National Bullet CO Copperized bullets
500 rds of 44 cal 240 gr SWC with a terrible copper colored paste on each bullet

kind of afraid to even put em in the casting pot ..

Might have to wait till next smelting session and add to that pot

Yeah, I bought a lot of bullets from National back in the day. Near the end their copper-plated bullets were pretty ugly. Shot well though! If you can use them, shoot 'em as is, if not, I'd sell or smelt them. I wouldn't want them in my casting pot!

Those ugly little coppery NBC boolits shoot just fine in my .357 Marlin 94. I don't see a big advantage over plain cast or jacketed and can't remember why I bought them but they're ok.

I believe I have saved a box ( box only) that had contained NBC boolits. Used in my earlier reloading days.
Thanks to this site, an Smoke no need to buy bulk boolits anymore.
