Casting cores with an adjustable plunger type mould

Well I got a plunger style adjustable mould from RCE and and it looks nice. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but looking at it I was already looking at ways to improve it. The instructions say to ladle cast, but I have two bottom pour pots and nerve damage to my hands so it seems less than ideal. I am thinking about making a roller assembly that would roll under my Lee 20# (dedicated to pure PB) then slide back out for sprue/core removal. If it works as good as I imagine it, it would allow for and almost zero fatigue casting session.

So has any tried something similar or have any tips in general for the plunger type moulds?

I've not messed with the RCE

The Corbin I played with from years ago was mounted to a bench.

After you cut the sprue, you pulled a lever and released the cores.

The mold only required one hand this way, and none when handling the ladle

This is probably a similar design, meant to be screwed to the bench and ladled full. What I am envisioning is 2 parallel boards with a drawer type bracket between them. The one board would be secured to the bench and then the second board would have the mould attached and could slide back and forth under the pot.

    RCE vs Corbin

Have both in different diameters and they are the same...
