    1 Samuel 10:9

    1 Samuel 10:9
As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all Samuel’s signs were fulfilled that day.

Have you received a new heart?
when the dust settles and the smoke clears all that matters is I hear the words " well done my good and faithfully servant "

I understand the intent of the question and it seems simple on the surface. But it begs the comparison of the experience of New Testament saints to that of individuals in the Old Testament.

What does it mean to be given a "new heart?" Based on King Saul's behavior I'd say this change was temporary without a lasting effect on him. So I'd say my personal experience does not parallel that of Saul.

    James 5;15-16

And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
