STARTED TINKERING WITH MY 4 CAV. 429421 LYMAN CASTING WITH STRAIGHT WHEEL WEIGHTS. AND THEY ARE ALL COMING OUT UNDERSIZED. .iT HAS BEEN QUITE SOME TIME SINCE I WAS IN ON A SIMILAR THREAD. SOO.......... WHAT DO I NEED TO ADD TO HAVE THESE PUFF OUT JUST A WEE BIT? OR AM I WASTING TIME AND SHOULD CONSULT ACCURATE FOR A CUSTOM MOLD??

I hate it when my caps lock button sticks! Maybe use a harder alloy for less shrinkage. Like a small % of linotype?

actually, I am deaf. Really. lost my hearing 3 years ago. And yes, all caps is easier for me to read. I tried the lapping thing.......... i do not think i was doing it correctly.

I am starting over trying to cast some 429421 boolits for my ruger sbh. I do not remember where I saw the really informative thread on this subject. (3-4 years ago?).
Adding tin will help fill out.... I got that.

2 thousands larger would be perfect.
Yelling won't help since the artillery ruins my hearing. I would suggest you try powder coating. It's really a minimum investment in time and money and will give you the extra two thou.

naaaaaaaaaa, water off a ducks back. my being disabled has opened my eyes/ears to what soo many others simply do not understand. They say they understand......... but without actually living that disability for a whole weekend, they are just fooling themselves. Being 100% deaf now has me concerned I will not hear the smoke detector when i need to hear it the most............ when i am asleep.
Get someone to hook up a remote taser to the smoke detector...sleep with the taser!
