    Antimony required for water quench?

Does anybody know how much antimony is required in an alloy to get a good amount of hardening affect when you water quench?
    Thanks

    any.
the less you have the longer it takes waiting for the final bhn and the more heat exchange speed needed.
a realistic low number would be 1% to get you up near 16 bhn as a final number pretty easily.
you'd need a lower amount of tin to get there and you'd have to wait about 60 days.

Any amount will be helpful. As runf notes, higher the amount the harder the alloy will heat treat.

I am not sure, but I was wondering if yours cracked. Every time I casted pure lead and water quenched over three quarters of them split open.
