    Smile cans and subsonics !

Bought the Savage 64 semi target model and put my Gemtech can on it.

Tried every subsonic I could find ..... none functioned it.

Finally was told to try Winchesters, 100% perfect function and 1/2" groups @ 50 yards.

Hope my experience saves you some money.

    Just the thing for an anti-fascist riot ! (that's a joke !)

Yeah it's a shame 22s can be so picky. CCI subs are pretty accurate and quiet out of my 10/22 with a can. Too bad my green mountain barrel doesn't like them.

Try SK Standard or Standard Plus. Works awesome, especially with the Neal Waltz point form dies.

I shoot the heck out of it with a Ruger MK III and Silencerco Sparrow Suppressor. Works great until the gun gets dirty.

This won't help the Savage 64 any but for the 10/22 crowd, Volquartzen came out with the new Firefly bolt. Essentially a super light bolt group that will reliably cycle sub and standard velocity ammo, including CCI quiets. Not supposed to use hi velocity though.

I have a Lakefield Model 64 which is the Canadian made version before Savage bought the rights to it. Its been a finicky gun since new, it prefers the higher velocity stuff. I think that it just a trait of the model 64 design.

I really like the CCI suppressor ammo. I use it in a CZ452, but the hollow point on the 45 grain bullet really has some smack when it hits.

It has been hard to find, but recently bought 1K online.

I like winchester truncated cone hollow points for my subsonic ammo.
Mostly from a bolt gun though.
