    This is a sweet rifle.

Great Value for a good shooting rifle.

I have a 340 in 222 and it is a 200 yard squeak shooter all day long. Mine does not have the offset scope though. I think it a weaver scope mount on mine, puts it right over the action.

Will someone please buy this to get it off my mind? I've already brought home my quota of 'additions' for the year but there's an empty slot in the safe right next to my .30-30 Savage and it's driving me bonkers.

This is a great rifle, with excellent accuracy additions, in a fabulous caliber. Only reason I am selling is to pay some bills.
    Really a great deal...

    yes brass is available
also if you are careful you can reform .223 brass to .222...I do it all the time
In my opinion the 340 rifles are under-rated. Again in my opinion the asking price is very fair, especially as its been pillar bedded

Brass is available, got a ton of it for my sons 700 I'll be loading soon. Wish someone would buy this so I wouldn't be tempted to add it to t=it's brothers (a 22 K-Hornet and a 30-30) in the same series. Tempting.
